Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress. Her most well-known work is her leading role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick earned the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The series ended following its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick got an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick, a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian who was of English origin. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and has said she takes part in Passover seders.
